TAOS SKI VILLAGE, NEW MEXICO

We're starting off the SSS 2012 ski season right with a trip to Taos, New Mexico in January.  We will be staying at Taos Ski Village, located north of Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Taos Town.  The area is deeply entrenched in the Hopi Indian mystique.  There will be one planned group trip into Taos Town, where you can browse the galleries, dine at numerous restaurants, or sightsee the historic Pueblo area.  We will be staying at the Ski Village Snakedance Condos, which offer a fantastic ski in/ski out location, bar, restaurant, and hot tub spa.  There are additional restaurants, grocery, and liquor stores nearby.  The resort will provide condo vans to transport us to and from Albuquerque, a wine/beer welcome party upon arrival, and everyone will receive a complimentary fleece vest. Here are the particulars:

 

Date:  14 January - 21 January 2012

 

Cost:  $1445 includes air fare BWI to Albuquerque, 5 days lift tickets (6th day $52 with advance purchase), 2 BR 4 person condos, pre-trip party, and a pizza night during the ski week.  The single supplement is $390.  (Seniors 70+ get $110 discount + 6 day lift tickets which can be converted to a season pass at no additional cost & 80+ ski free--any takers?)

 

Lessons:  A Ski/Ride week offers 5 days of instruction for $99 (70+ get 6 days) for skiers and snowboarders.

 

Payment Schedule:  $250 June sign-up, $250 July 15, $250 August 15, $250 September 15, $250 October 15, and $195 November 15.

 

SSS Ski Club Cancellation Policy:  $25 cancellation fee for any reason, after October 1, 2011 $100 per person, after November 15, 2011 $300 per person, after December 15, 2011 full cost of the trip.
